Vanda sanderiana is now Euanthe sanderiana. However, DNA analysis shows that it should not be classified out of Vanda.
Wild plants of Euanthe sanderiana used to be exported from the Philippines but they are extremely rare now (i.e. on the verge of extinction in Mindanao).
Apparently very abundant in cultivation. However , a lot are actually not the true stuff (i.e. sanderiana has a very strong influence in many of its hybrids, hence the confusion).
Hi all,
Sorry to use this space to ask question... but is related to Euanthe sanderiana...
Speciosa, Since Euanthe sanderiana's influence is so dominant, how do we tell if the Euanthe sanderiana bought is genuine even though it is cultivated from flask? Any sign or traits to show the diff?
