Dear Sir, are you Mr. Yen, I have a problem that I want to ask for your help. Paracymoriza taiwanalis (Wileman & South, 1917) is said maybe a darker ssp. of Paracymoriza distinctalis (Leech, 1889) in Hsiau Yue Wang & W. Speidel's book "Guide Book to Insects in Taiwan (19)". So I want to know whether both species have some differences, especially in genitalia. Thank you!
I am afraid that genitalic structures are not enough to tell if they are different speices or not. Most speices belonging to the prodigalis and distinctalis groups have very simple male genitalia. Without comparing P. bleszynskialis and look at their molecular divergence, I am not convinced of their taxonomic status.
By the way, you can simply ignore what Wang & Speidel said in that book because it's an illustrated book.
