Well I've some opinion on this part. 45 degrees is right but it should face up. Here in the pic it seems to be facing down. When you do so, especially when the stem is short, it happens when you cut off the rotten stem, the babies will probably come out at the direction toward leaf tip, right under the shadow of their mother leaf.
In addition to insufficient light, it also makes it more difficult when cutting the babies down for potting up.
45度斜切宜斜面向上，如此才能避免幼苗從葉背方向長出，被母葉擋住光線，也造成幼苗照顧及分離時的不便。
