In some cases, the change in appearance occured in the babies that were produced from leaf cuttings. In other cases, the plant's appearance changed slowly over a number of bloom cycles. Some are not true sports; they came from fantasy varieties whose babies reverted back to one of the solid colors found in the fantasy pattern.
